Frontier Oil Tools AtlasTM Isolation Packer Delivers Repeat Cement-Staging Performance in Saudi Arabia

Frontier Oil Tools continues to manufacture, supply, and deploy its AtlasTM Hydraulic-Mechanical Isolation Packer for cement-staging applications in Saudi Arabia, building a growing field record for the technology.

The 9⅝-in × 13⅜-in, 68–72 lb/ft Atlas™ Isolation Packer is designed with a full-bore internal diameter and is used in conjunction with a cementing stage tool to support staged cementing operations.

The combined configuration has now been used successfully across multiple applications in Saudi Arabia. According to field results, the solution has reduced the operating sequence by one day of rig time compared with the conventional program.

The full-bore design allows the packer to provide the required isolation for the cement-staging operation while maintaining unrestricted internal access through the tool. Combined with the cementing stage tool, the system supports a more efficient operational sequence without adding an additional restriction to the completion string.

Continued manufacturing and repeat shipments of the Atlas™ Isolation Packer reflect the transition of the technology from an individual field application to an established completion solution in the Saudi market.
