NewTech Services Middle East Completes 5,283-ft 12-in S-Shape Gas-Well Section in One Run
ARABIAN PENINSULA — May 2026 —
NewTech Services Middle East completed a 5,283-ft, shoe-to-shoe 12-in section in a gas well in the Arabian Peninsula using an 8-in Hydrobur-Service positive displacement motor (PDM). The S-shape trajectory was drilled in a single run, building inclination from 0 degrees to 24 degrees before dropping smoothly back to vertical.
The operation required controlled build-and-drop performance across a large-diameter interval while maintaining trajectory stability and drilling efficiency. The completed run achieved an average rate of penetration (ROP) of 31.17 ft/hr and saved 1.5 days of rig time against the planned program.
